Liam Neeson has signed on to star in the drama, Taken for 20th Century Fox and Luc Besson's EuropaCorp; Besson also co-wrote the screenplay.

Pierre Morel will be directing Neeson as an ex-soldier whose daughter is kidnapped by slave masters while traveling in Europe. The Hollywood Reporter adds the soldier must track her down before she's shipped off and lost forever.

Taken will shoot mostly in Paris starting February 14th.
