Lethal Weapon 5 Becoming a Possibility?

Maybe they're not too old for this s*&t after all... TrackingB.com, a script-tracking site, has reported that original Lethal Weapon screenwriter Shane Black has written a script for Lethal Weapon 5 and is shopping it to producer Joel Silver.

The tracking site noted that the franchise's stars Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are keen on returning to their roles as Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, but no contracts have been signed.

The story reportedly revolves around Riggs, who's ready to retire, but calls on his old partner, Murtaugh, to come out of retirement and solve one last case before retiring together.

We'll have more on this story as soon as more information becomes available.

    But anyway I see no point on this. The 4th LW ended in a great way. There's no need for another one. (By the way I'm not saying I wouldn't enjoy more of Riggs and Murtaugh)

    i'd watch it, i grew up watching these guys.
    the first lethal weapon was one of the first movies i could be heard touting quotes from as a kid.

    plus if the could get joe pesci out of retirement for a few more minutes that would be awesome, i love that guy.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmm... I'd give it a try, remember Rambo proved everyone wrong with his 4th movie, so did John McClane with the 4th die hard... and i'm absolutely sure (as an 80's action mives fan) That these guys can make something good outta this.

    like 2 months ago movieweb posted an interview with danny glover who specifically stated when asked about the possibility of doing Lethal Weapon 5 that he was completely against it and would definately NOT be coming back should a 5th get made.
