Leslie Nielsen has signed on to star in the comedy, Lipshitz Saves the World for NBC.

Dan Fogelman (Cars) brought the show to the network; it centers on a 17-year-old social outcast who finds out in the most bizarre way that he might be 'the one' to save the world with the help of Nielsen, says The Hollywood Reporter.

If Lipshitz Saves the World gets picked up, look for it to be a midseason replacement.
