Lena Headey, Sean Bean and Rupert Friend have signed up to star in director Geoff Sax's supernatural thriller Black Death. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the gothic horror film will be produced by Ecosse Films co-chiefs Robert Bernstein and Douglas Rae.

Set in a medieval world Black Death is a story of a band of brothers whose quest it is to hunt down a necromancer against the backdrop of the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England. Geoff Sax will direct the Dario Poloni original screenplay.

Black Death is scheduled to be shot on location in Germany and the U.K.
