Lee Daniels to Direct Selma

Precious director Lee Daniels is in advanced talks to direct Selma, a film that will trace the historic 1965 march in the Alabama town that marked the political and emotional peak of the civil rights movement, according to Variety.

Daniels will be teaming on the project with U.K. producer Christian Colson.

Paul Webb has penned the much-buzzed-about script. No cast has been attached yet, and the project's final budget is still being sorted out.

Production is set to take place by early spring.

Selma was released in 2010 and stars Hugh Jackman, Liam Neeson, David Oyelowo, Lenny Kravitz, Cedric the Entertainer. The film is directed by Lee Daniels.

Sounds like that same old story being bashed over people's heads. I think everyone is right. Hollywood is running out of stories. They keep doing the same old sh*t over and over.
