@bawnian-dexeus: I just looked back at this conversation after 7hrs and really scratch my head as to how we came upon these topics in the first place. Happens scarcely, but it's nice when it does.

@skywise: I wish. I'm originally from LA, then I grew up in the Bay Area, east side, before moving to this town 10 miles up from Sacto, then finally the foothills 20 miles beyond that. I'm roughly 100 miles west of Lake Tahoe. And I go to Reno/Sparx all the time for car restoration related things. So yeah, I've been all over the board in CA.

@mcleve02 the moonshine (i guess thats what it was) brewed by these contractors was very fruity and it actually did not taste like JP8.

@slysnide Are you from San Diego? I used to live in El Cajon (which I know is NOT San D) but I have fond mmories all the same. Our apt. did not even have central AC. Did not need it, just open windows and there ya go. I live in Houston now and not having AC is actually dangerous.

  19. THE JOKER

@slysnide his name was Quagmire... (Family Guy reference to Jack the ripper) and it's a shame that anywhere has to be that way... it make me sad... this is why being on the Southwest side of any Hawaiian Island is the way to go... almost perfect weather year round!

@mcleve02: I know what you mean. On the two days we were snowed in, the hippie art teacher took some of us on a tour of Old Victoria or whatever it's called, and locals shoveling show advised us on where not to go. Sad the nations capital has that problem I agree. Still, not as bad as London was as the capital for the greatest empire of its day as recent as the 1890s being a cesspool or all things horrid. And to think that dear old Jack changed all that. Such twisted irony. The Joker would be proud. :P

And with SF, it's not so much the rain as it is the fog. It ruins great vistas. June & July are great months to go, cause fog always rolls in in the mornings, but it's a question of whether it'll be gone by late morning to make for a good day. Best place to trek on foot. Granted your feet will be mashed meat by the end of it, but it's worth it.

@slysnide Thats a bummer... I will say not to walk alone in those towns alone. I'm about 50 mins north of DC... Nice and quiet! But close enough that I can easily go there if I wanted!

@mcleve02: I'll definitely let you know if I'm ever in the area again. Last time I was there was 9yrs ago for a school trip. We got snowed in at this Holiday Inn and chilled for a couple days and missed a few destination spots, but it was awesome.
