Laura Dern Returning for Jurassic Park 4

Laura Dern has confirmed she is returning as Dr. Ellie Sattler for Jurassic Park IV, according to TV Guide.

"It's a while away but my understanding is it's happening and my character is very involved," she told the magazine. "I know [director] Steven Spielberg is looking forward to [getting it together] over the next year."

It is unclear whether Sam Neill's character, Dr. Alan Grant, will return for the fourth installment.

No word on when production for the 4th film begins.

    Yes, Spielberg is the master. Was going to watch it anyway. But with Spielberg returning, I have hopes it could be yet another masterpiece. Would be shocked if he made a mess of this.

    Spielberg returning is even bigger news to me. This film has been in development hell for 7yrs now, and seeing as Joe Johnston did #3, then it'd be a safe bet that #4 will be better in story and a longer runtime.

    Yeah I like JP...first two were great and the 3rd one's not bad just you can tell it was not as good. I think it had to do with casting. William H Macy was not good for his part and that lady who is Jane from Fun With Dick and Jane was just annoying in the 3rd. I do like Sam Neil but I'd rather see Jeff again, he was so funny.
