Blue Collar comedy staples Larry the Cable Guy (his real name, Daniel Whitney) and Bill Engvall have signed on to star in the comedy Delta Farce for Lionsgate.

C.B. Harding will direct the film that focuses on the two comedians as inept, Iraq-bound Army reservists who are mistakenly dropped into Mexico and liberate a small village from marauders.

Shooting for Delta Farce begins June 12; a spring 2007 release is set.
