Samuel L. Jackson's cop renegade cop character just knocked another renegade cop off the home video charts. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lakeview Terrace debuted atop the national DVD sales charts, for the week ending February 1, a week where the top five sellers were all new releases.

The direct-to-video sequel Open Season 2 premiered in second place in DVD sales while Fireproof was third, the straight-to-DVD animated Marvel disc Hulk Vs. was fourth and Pride and Glory was fifth. Last week's top seller, Max Payne, dropped all the way to sixth place in its second week on the shelves.

On the rental side, Lakeview Terrace topped last week's winner Max Payne once again, although it only dropped to second place in the rental charts. Pride and Glory debuted in third and Fireproof took fifth place in rentals.

The Blu-ray charts saw newcomer Bourne Trilogy, a three-disc collection of the Jason Bourne films in BD, as the top-selling Blu-ray unit, while Eagle Eye surged from eighth place on the Blu-ray charts last week to second place this week.
