According to ScreenDaily.com, Kuno Becker (Imagining Argentina) has replaced Diego Luna as the lead actor in soccer film Goal!, which began principal photography in London on January 29.

Mexican actor Becker stars in the story as a young Latino player who travels from the Barrios of East LA to the high society of the English Premier league to try and win a contract with Newcastle United.

Danny Cannon is directing the $30 million film, which will also be filmed at Pinewood Studios and on location in Newcastle and Los Angeles. The rest of the cast includes Stephen Dillane, Allessandro Nivola, Anna Friel, Marcel Lures, Sean Pertwee, Cassandra Bell, and Kieran O'Brien.

Buena Vista International have picked up International rights to the film, while Latino film label Arenas Entertainment has U.S. rights.
