Kristin Scott Thomas, will play Lady Elizabeth, mother of Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman in The Other Boleyn Girl, according to Production Weekly.

The film is a historical drama, which is based on a novel by Philippa Gregory.

The story revolves around the ferociously ambitious Boleyn sisters, Mary (Johansson) and Anne (Portman), who are rivals for the bed and heart of 16th century English King Henry VIII (Eric Bana). Peter Morgan (The Last King of Scotland) adapted the screenplay. Eddie Redmayne and Benedict Cumberbatch also star.

Director Justin Chadwick begins filming next week in Lacock Abbey.
