Kristen Wiig joins Ben Stiller for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Originally based on a short story by James Thurber, this updated version revolves around a shy magazine photo editor who gets lost in the world of his own fantastical daydreams. He finds himself on a real-life adventure when he goes searching for a missing negative. Kristen Wiig will play a co-worker, someone who often plays a key role in Walter Mitty's fantasies, and thus comes to help him on his seemingly inconsequential quest.
After many years in development, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty will finally begin shooting this April in New York City and Iceland.
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty comes to theaters December 25th, 2013 and stars Ben Stiller, Sean Penn, Kristen Wiig, Adam Scott, Shirley MacLaine, Kathryn Hahn, Patton Oswalt, Terence Bernie Hines. The film is directed by Ben Stiller.
