Kristen Wiig may not return for a Bridesmaids sequel
Director Paul Feig and actress Melissa McCarthy have both expressed interest in returning for a sequel, but it seems Universal may need to convince Kristen Wiig to return first. Kristen Wiig also co-wrote Bridesmaids with Annie Mumolo, so they may need her to return for scripting duties as well. Jon Hamm also said he enjoyed how much heart they put into Bridesmaids.
"I had a feeling that it was going to be a great movie. I have ultimate confidence in Kristen to be funny. I was pleased to see that they were able to make the movie with the amount of heart that they did. It's a funny movie, [but] also at the end of the day it's a very sweet film."
Bridesmaids was released May 13th, 2011 and stars Kristen Wiig, Terry Crews, Jessica St. Clair, Maya Rudolph, Tom Yi, Elaine Kao, Michael Hitchcock, Kali Hawk. The film is directed by Paul Feig.

Good. Don't let these people pull a Hangover and ruin the original with a god-awful pointless sequel.Your being smart Wiig and that's why I adore you.

@moviegeek Yeah. There's no real need for a sequel. Here's an idea. Make a good movie. Put Kristen Wiig in it. It's going to make money because she has box office cred now. You don't have to beat to death a brand name in order to bring in audiences, you just have to make something that will resonate with people.

I didn't really like the movie, but I know a ton of people gushed over it. I think she saw the Hangover 2 and learned from it.
