Bell joins Nicolas Cage, Scarlett Johansson, Donald Sutherland, Bill Nighy, Nathan Lane, Eugene Levy, Freddie Highmore in Astro Boy, which tells the story of a powerful robot boy created by a brilliant scientist in the image of the son he has lost. Our hero journeys to find acceptance in the human world, and ultimately discovers true friendship as he uses his incredible powers to help others and save Metro City from destruction.
Astro Boy will be released worldwide in 2009.
Astro Boy was released October 23rd, 2009 and stars Nicolas Cage, Matt Lucas, Charlize Theron, Kristen Bell, Samuel L. Jackson, Bill Nighy, Freddie Highmore, Donald Sutherland. The film is directed by David Bowers.

It's going to be hard to improve on the original animation. Even today, Astro Boy is an enjoyable cartoon to watch. Sure, it's dated in places. But quality will last, even as technologies and storytelling styles evolve.

Yet another movie I must say just made the voice cast even better. This comic movie won't be much for the adult crowd, but then again Holly wood likes to mess things up, so I doubt it follows the DC comic.
Warner Brothers is the studio for a DC comic movie, won't have never guessed.
