Kodi Smit Mc-Phee Set for Let Me In

Moviehole has dug a bit of interesting information out of a recent interview in the Herald Sun. It seems that Kodi Smit Mc-Phee, the young actor that stars opposite Vigo Mortensen in the big screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road, has joined Matt Reeves' remake of the Swedish cult favorite Let the Right One in.

Now titled Let Me In, the new film is "inspired" by Tomas Alfredson's horror story about a young boy that develops a tight bond with a vampire child. Though Mc-Phee hasn't signed on the dotted line to play the twelve-year old Oskar, the actor says that it is looking like a lock.

The remake is scheduled to start shooting before the end of the year with a proposed 2010 release date.

The Road was released November 25th, 2009 and stars Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Charlize Theron, Robert Duvall, Guy Pearce, Molly Parker, Michael K. Williams, Garret Dillahunt. The film is directed by John Hillcoat.

Let the Right One in was released October 24th, 2008 and stars Kåre Hedebrant, Lina Leandersson, Per Ragnar, Henrik Dahl, Karin Bergquist, Peter Carlberg, Ika Nord, Mikael Rahm. The film is directed by Tomas Alfredson.

This whole film is just ridiculous. The original film is one of the best films I've ever seen. But, I can understand why they're remkaing the film. Hollywood has nothing better to do.

Next up, "Citizen Kane" starring Dwayne Johnson.

This is bullsh*t! Let the Right One In was released just last year, and although I've never seen it (really want to), Matt Reeves is just trying to cash in on the reemerged vampire hype started by Twilight. *sshole!

Why does Hollywood have to remake everything thats good and turn it into sh*t? Why can't they just offer better distribution instead so everyone can see what's out there? Instead they marginalize the mainstream, and allow only what they want people to see after being edited to their liking. F*cking *ssholes!
