Kit Harington will star in Paul W.S. Anderson's Pompeii
The story is set in 79 A.D. and centers on Milo (Kit Harington), a slave whose plans to marry the daughter of his shipping tycoon master are dashed when he is sold to another owner in Naples. When Mount Vesuvius erupts, he flees back to Pompeii to rescue his lover and his best friend, a gladiator trapped in the coliseum.
Janet Scott Batchler and Lee Batchler wrote the original screenplay, with Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes providing the most recent script revision. Paul W.S. Anderson will also produce with Jeremy Bolt, along with Constantin Film's Robert Kulzer and Martin Moszkowicz. No production schedule was given.
Kit Harington most recently starred in Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, and will next be seen in The Seventh Son.
Pompeii comes to theaters February 28th, 2014 and stars Kit Harington, Emily Browning, Jared Harris, Kiefer Sutherland, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas, Carrie-Anne Moss. The film is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

@raoulduke33: I would love to see films based off of Patrick Rothfuss novels. The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear are the two best fantasy novels I've a really long time.
