Kings Moved to Summertime Slot

It seems a new NBC drama just can't find a proper home. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has moved its first-year drama series Kings once again. After premiering on Sunday nights and then moved to Saturday nights, which are typically filled with reruns, the series has been taken off the schedule completely to finish its run in June.

The network will begin airing repeat episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, the new drama Southland and Law & Order this week.

Kings will finish out its run starting on Saturday, June 13 at 8 PM, with the finale set for July 25.

What a shock that an inventive show with an unusual premise that was put on at a dismal time slot should get such an ignoble demise. I loved this show, and really wanted to see more of it.

terrible?!? this show was great! what was terrible was NBC's commitment to it. first they give it a Sunday night time slot. then after it doesn't get a billion viewers its first night (surprise, surprise) they stopped pushing it. then they moved it to the show junk yard - Saturday nights. Moving it to summer could be huge for them - people are looking for new shows in summer, BUT NBC has already committed to dropping the project. Lame... give kings its fair shot!!
