Kick-Ass 3 will close out the franchise
"Yeah absolutely. Kick-Ass 3 is going to be the last one though. I told Universal this and they asked me, 'What does that mean?' I said, 'It means that this is where it all ends.' They said, 'Do they all die at the end?' I said, 'Maybe' - because this is a realistic superhero story. And if someone doesn't have a bullet proof vest like Superman and doesn't have Batman's millions then eventually he is going turn around the wrong corner and get his head kicked in or get shot in the face [laughs]. So Kick-Ass needs to reflect that. There has to be something dramatic at the end, he cannot do this for the rest of his life."
Of course, there are no guarantees that everyone from Kick-Ass 2 will be alive and well when the credits roll on the sequel. Who do you think will live to see Kick-Ass 3?
Kick-Ass 2 comes to theaters August 16th, 2013 and stars Chloe Moretz, Jim Carrey, Nicolas Cage, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison. The film is directed by Jeff Wadlow.

I hope Hit Girl's character is grown up, Mark said that a part Kick Ass 3's story would revolve around her being put in jail for a couple of years and that there would be a time where wearing any type of costume would be considered illegal, I wonder whether or not there will be a new main villain

@skywise Yeah, there is a Hit Girl volume. I think they are still releasing the issues though, because it was released after Kick-Ass 2, but chronologically it comes after Kick-Ass 1. I've heard the first 30 minutes or so of Kick-Ass 2 will be dedicated to that story.

I think they will change a lot unfortunately. When red mist shoots all those little kids with a machine gun. And when kick ass's Gf get raped. I don't think they will include that. I hope that they do. But I do hope they kill jim carreys character colonel stars. They way they killed his dog and cut off the head and cut off colonel stars head and put the dogs head in its place lol. I hope they keep that and keep it violent

I must say, I knew this was coming to an end at some point since there are only five volumes in the series. I was completely hooked after I saw the first Kick-Ass, then I read the comic book and was even more impressed. Last summer I finally got around to Kick-Ass 2 and it was way better than I expected, I just hope the transition from paper to film goes well and it doesn't end up disappointing. With that said, I can't wait to find out what's in store for Kick-Ass and friends in the next volumes. And yeah...it'd be nice to have had a "Spoiler Alert" on that one.

Well if you thought the torture scene in Kick-Ass 1 was cringe inducing, the Kick-Ass 2 comic ramps up the brutality and violence in just about every page.
They made some changes to the adaptation of Kick-Ass 1 to make it work better as a movie. For 2, I don't know how they can get all that visceral violence up on the screen, even with a light tongue in cheek approach..

Let's see how part two goes. Loved the first one but I've heard the Kick Ass 2 graphic-novel doesn't slightly compare to the original. But then again, I don't even know if the film took adapted from the second graphic novel.
