Kick-Ass 2 Photos Reveal First Look at Chloe Moretz as Hit Girl

Empire Magazine has three new photos from the upcoming sequel Kick-Ass 2, two of which reveal our first official look at Chloe Moretz's return as Hit-Girl, along with a new photo of Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars and Stripes and Aaron Johnson as the title character Kick-Ass. Check out these latest images for what creator Mark Millar calls 'the The Empire Strikes Back of DIY vigilante carnage.'

Kick-Ass 2 comes to theaters August 16th, 2013 and stars Chloe Moretz, Jim Carrey, Nicolas Cage, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison. The film is directed by Jeff Wadlow.

    Chloe's matured a little, but not as much as I had expected or hoped. More importantly, however, is why Millar would set himself up for a fall by comparing this to Empire Strikes Back. While I can see how that would work for the DIY crime fighting series, when have comparisons to Star Wars ever worked out?
