Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall Set Photos Tease Mother Russia!

Director Jeff Wadlow has been Tweeting up a storm from the set of Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall, offering a sneak peek at Mother Russia, whose casting has yet to be announced. Her massive frame is teased here alongside Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who returns as the villainous Red Mist. We also get a look at Hit Girl's (Chloe Moretz) new bike, Mother Russia's massive, iconic blade, and the returning costumes (do these still fit?). Check out the latest from this anticipated sequel.

Kick-Ass 2 comes to theaters August 16th, 2013 and stars Chloe Moretz, Jim Carrey, Nicolas Cage, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lyndsy Fonseca, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison. The film is directed by Jeff Wadlow.

    @jacob Fredrick... Tom Hardy is a decent actor and could probably pull off this roll better than Carrey. Frankly Jim Carrey just isn't a very good actor. He plays 2 characters hyper-goofy and depressed-goofy. If you happen to like that then you probably like him but neither of those fit this roll. Also it isn't about putting on a few pounds of muscle (which I'm going to say now.... Jim Carrey just will not do) it's about projecting a certain attitude. Imagine if Robert Duvall reprised his character, Colonel Kilgore from Apocalypse Now. Much older, grittier and just as likely to kill you as look at you. Carrey would say the line "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" then fart and laugh at it.

    Never understood the relevance of set photos. They don't interest me whatsoever. And I'm sad to say that neither does this movie. The first one was great, but this one... I just have a feeling it is going to be way too... Silly is a good word. Way too silly.
