Kevin Lima Gets Behind The Incredible Mr. Limpet

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kevin Lima will be directing Warner Bros.' update of The Incredible Mr. Limpet.

The film is about a man who becomes a talking fish.

The original from 1964 starred Don Knotts as the title character. He was a regular guy who, once he transforms, turns into a World War II hero that helps pick out enemy warships for the Allies.

That film was a live action-animated hybrid that was directed by both Arthur Lubin and Robert McKimson.

This new version will be "a live-animated blend."

actually they've been trying to do this for the last 10 year(i don't know why). It was supposed to be Jim Carrey as the lead back in the 90s.
I don't know the original so i don't really care about this.

Unfortunately this will probably do well because there are so many people out there who have not even heard of the original.

this is just SO wrong, in many ways...geez, hollywood, get a f*cking brain...leave the classics alone and come up with some new ideas, instead of redoing every f*cking film....geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez...I agree with PACK 75...you cannot improve on Don Knott's classic...nobody can...
