Kevin J. O'Conner has a history with Stephen Sommers, and that history will continue with the upcoming adaptation of G.I. Joe. Speaking to CHUD, O'Connor says that he will have a cameo in the film as a scientist.

O'Connor was quick to emphasize how small of a role it will be, saying that he plays a scientist in a flashback scene. He also compared it to how Sam Raimi gave Bruce Campbell cameo roles in all three Spider-Man films. Finally, O'Connor suggested that other Sommers regulars have cameo appearances as well.

G.I. Joe is currently filming and is scheduled for an August 7, 2009 release. The film stars Ray Parks, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Said Taghmaoui, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Marlon Wayans, Channing Tatum, Dennis Quiad, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Arnold Vosloo, Karolina Isela Kurkov, Byung Hun Lee and Christopher Eccleston.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was released August 7th, 2009 and stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Byung-hun Lee, Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce. The film is directed by Stephen Sommers.
