Kevin Durand will portray the villain in D.J. Caruso's sci-fi action film
According to Variety, Kevin Durand is also in early negotiations to join Hugh Jackman in the film Real Steel.
He joins a cast that includes District 9 star Sharlto Copley and Alex Pettyfer.
Both productions are DreamWorks with Disney distributing.
I Am Number Four is based on a novel by James Frey and Joby Hughes and is about a group of aliens who escape to Earth after their planet was destroyed by another species only to realize they are now being hunted on Earth.
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar wrote the script.
I Am Number Four was released February 18th, 2011 and stars Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Callan McAuliffe, Kevin Durand, Jake Abel, Jeff Hochendoner. The film is directed by D.J. Caruso.
Real Steel was released October 7th, 2011 and stars Hugh Jackman, Dakota Goyo, Evangeline Lilly, Anthony Mackie, Kevin Durand, Hope Davis, James Rebhorn, Marco Ruggeri. The film is directed by Shawn Levy.

Fantastic Four was not great by any means. They ruined that franchise - hence the reboot that is coming. Comic heroes are not supposed to be PG. By doing that you ruin the material it is pulled from. While they weren't terrible, I would not say they were good. I am looking forward to I am Number Four.

Thank you for getting it to us early next year. A lot better then us waiting for Real Steel at the end of next year. Well done. I bet I'll love the movie. Unless its restricted of course. Kevin Durand seems like a Good choice. I hope you have Decent drama ideas in it thereby giving it a reasonalbly clean rating, so Everyone gets to see it. Like for instance The Fantastic 4! You can make it for Children and still have the action adults like!
