Kenneth Branagh to Board The Boat That Rocked

Kenneth Branagh will join Rhys Ifans and January Jones, in director and writer Richard Curtis' The Boat That Rocked. According to Variety, the feature comedy will be a Working Title production for Universal Pictures, with Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Hilary Bevan-Jones and Curtis signed on to produce.

The Boat That Rocked will star Branagh and Ifans as deejays for a pirate radio show in England during the 1970s. Jones will portray an American woman who visits the deejays on the boat and falls for her boyfriend's pal (Ifans).

The Boat That Rocked is scheduled to start shooting on March 3rd, on location in London.

Pirate Radio was released November 13th, 2009 and stars Michael Hadley, Charlie Rowe, Lucy Fleming, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tom Sturridge, Ian Mercer, Bill Nighy, Will Adamsdale. The film is directed by Richard Curtis.
