Kelsey Grammer Is Scrooge in An American Carol

Kelsey Grammer has just signed up to star as Ebenezer Scrooge in David Zucker's satire feature An American Carol. According to Variety, this will be the second time Grammer has played Scrooge, the first time being in the NBC-Hallmark production of A Christmas Carol in 2004.

An American Carol is a satire of contemporary American culture, particularly the Hollywood scene. Zucker, wrote the screenplay with Myrna Sokoloff and will finance the film with Stephen McEveety.

Production for An American Carol is scheduled to start February 28th on location in Los Angeles.

An American Carol was released October 3rd, 2008 and stars Trace Adkins, Kevin P. Farley, Kelsey Grammer, Chriss Anglin, Robert Davi, Serdar Kalsin, Bill O'Reilly, Geoffrey Arend. The film is directed by David Zucker.

    Interesting. I've never seen the Chistmas carol with Grammar, but he seems like a nice pick to me to play scrooge.
