Keira Knightley takes the female lead in the Untitled Jack Ryan Project
Chris Pine stars as Jack Ryan, an ex-Marine who now works as a financial analyst in Moscow. When he discovers his employer's plan to finance a terrorist attack on the American economic system, Jack Ryan races to save the country and his wife (Keira Knightley). Director Kenneth Branagh is also starring as the villain.
David Koepp wrote the most recent draft of the screenplay, from an original draft by Adam Cozad. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing alongside Mace Neufeld and David Barron. David Ellison is executive producing through his Skydance Pictures company.
Production is slated to begin next month. Keira Knightley can next be seen in the Joe Wright adaptation Anna Karenina.
Jack Ryan comes to theaters December 25th, 2013 and stars Keira Knightley, Chris Pine, Kevin Costner, Kenneth Branagh, Colm Feore, Lee Asquith-Coe, Nonso Anozie, Gemma Chan. The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh.
