Keanu Reeves
Keanu Reeves will be starring in this new film.
Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road) will write the screenplay.
Director Nicolas Winding Refn is currently circling the project.
The film will be based on Robert Louis Stevenson's book about a doctor who manages to scientifically develop an evil self.
Current plot details for the film are being kept under wraps by the studio.
Apparently, Universal has also been looking to make a version of this film with Guillermo del Toro, however that version will be different.
Del Toro's version will follow the Stevenson tale more closely. Also, the director's plate is full with The Hobbit for New Line, so it seems like it could be years before his version of Jekyll and Hyde sees the light of day.

Thanks J.A. The way I see it, Keanu is a great choice, and Del Toro great director simple. Besides it would be better if Keanu got older, and more experienced looking. More like a "Dr." Lol.
But the fact that their making two movies is just weird? Unless, he stars in this one, the prequel, and Keanu again stars in Del Toro's deeper version as a better "sequel."
