According to Variety Katherine Heigl is going to star in the romantic comedy Life as We Know It for Warner Bros.

Directing will be Greg Berlanti. Barry Josephson and Paul Brooks are producing.

In 2001, Revolution Studios picked up the script that was written by Ian Deitchman and Kristin Rusk Robinson. The film looks at two single adults whose lives are thrown upside down when both their best friends are killed in an accident. The two strangers are picked to care for their friend's daughter.

The project was originally at Fox before ending up at Warner Bros.

Heigl is going to be producing this project with her mom, Nancy.
