Kate Hudson Has Big Eyes for Her Next Role

Kate Hudson has just signed on to star as painter Margaret Keane in Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski's directing debut Big Eyes. According to Variety, Big Eyes will be produced by Dan Halsted, Bonafide partners Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa, and Andrew Meieran.

The film will center on Keane's personal awakening at the onset of the feminist movement, leading to a lawsuit she filed against her husband, Walter, who claimed credit for her work. Big Eyes will be Alexander and Karaszewski third writing collaboration, having also worked together on 1408 and Ed Wood.

Production for Big Eyes is scheduled to start in June.

Big Eyes is in development and stars Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Reynolds. The film is directed by Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski.

1408 was released June 22nd, 2007 and stars John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson, Mary McCormack, Tony Shalhoub, Len Cariou, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Jasmine Jessica Anthony, Paul Birchard. The film is directed by Mikael Håfström.
