Karl Urban joins The Wonder
This family 3D adventure centers on Rachel (Willow Shields), a 14-year-old girl who is mysteriously transported to China with two of her friends after they find the end of a rainbow. The kids are aided by Consul William Stanley (Karl Urban) when a shadowy organization begins pursuing them. Leehom Wang will play their new friend Cheng, who helps them find their way back home, along with averting a global catastrophe.
Ron Underwood will direct from a screenplay by Ashley Sidaway, Robert Sidaway, and Lindsay Edmonds. Robert Sidaway will also produce alongside Iain Brown, Steve Sachs, and Chun-Yi Yueh.
No production schedule was released. Hyde Park International will be pitching the project to buyers at the American Film Market.
The Wonder comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Karl Urban, Willow Shields, Leehom Wang. The film is directed by Ron Underwood.
