Judah Friedlander will star in the fish-out-of-water comedy, Starship Dave for 20th Century Fox.

Eddie Murphy stars in the film, which revolves around a crew of tiny humanlike beings. The Hollywood Reporter adds in an effort to save their doomed world, they take on a perfect disguise: a vessel that looks like an ordinary, normal-size man. Friedlander will play the engineer of the crew; Elizabeth Banks, Gabrielle Union and Ed Helms already have joined the cast.

Brian Robbins is directing; Rob Greenberg and Bill Corbett wrote the screenplay. No production schedule has been set for Starship Dave.

Meet Dave was released July 11th, 2008 and stars Eddie Murphy, Elizabeth Banks, Gabrielle Union, Scott Caan, Ed Helms, Kevin Hart, Mike O'Malley, Pat Kilbane. The film is directed by Brian Robbins.
