Josh Hartnett Set for Texas Lullaby
Commercial director Malcolm Venville is making his feature debut on the indie, which is being produced by Marshall Rawlings and his Alturas Films banner.
An original screenplay written by Steve Allison, the story is very loosely based on Hamlet. Set in a small eastern Texas town, the movie revolves around a young man (Hartnett) who learns that his widowed mother has married his father's brother (Malkovich). His father's ghost tells the young man that he was murdered by his uncle and seeks vengeance.
