The new take on the old series will find Flitter's character following in his dad's footsteps. He becomes a 7th grade pet detective and ends up tracking a stolen baby panda bear.
There was no word on whether we could expect a Jim Carey cameo, but it's highly doubtful. The film begins shooting this coming September 17th, in Orlando, Florida.
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective was released February 4th, 1994 and stars Jim Carrey, Courteney Cox, Sean Young, Tone Loc, Dan Marino, Noble Willingham, Troy Evans, Raynor Scheine. The film is directed by Tom Shadyac.

Flitter is funny! We saw him in Nancy Drew and The Greatest Game. His one liners had the audience rolling in laughter! My boys can't wait to see this funny kid in his own movie.

why is it that they need to ruin all the movies that Jim carey made great. The mask, Dumb and dumber, and now ace ventura. are you kidding me? what a bad idea. The person or persons responsible for this should be fired and then drug out into the street and beaten. When is Liar Liar 2 coming out. and when does filming on "Me, Myself, Irene, and our son" start filming? seriously, what meeting did the idea for ace ventura 3 come up, iand what clowns decided that thats what america needs, a half-assed Jim Carey-less Ace ventura. I hope someone gets fired for this blunder. R.I.P. Jim careys great movies. You will be missed.

No, NO, NO!!!! This is a GIGANTIC waste of money, as was Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. I am glad nature called me away from the theater with that film!!!
