Josh Brolin might be putting on the last suit he'll ever wear
His exact part is a matter of discussion, but in recent days there's been chatter in Hollywood development circles of a few possibilities: He could play a new single-monikered government agent, with Tommy Lee Jones' Agent K passing the baton to Brolin's character. Or he could play Agent K as a young man. Or something else entirely.
Will Smith is set to return for the third installment, written by Etan Cohen. No word on whether Tommy Lee Jones is reprising his role. Barry Sonnenfeld is tentatively coming back to direct Men in Black 3, which could shoot at least partly in New York.
No production date has been set.
Men in Black III comes to theaters May 25th, 2012 and stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jemaine Clement, Emma Thompson, Nicole Scherzinger, Michael Stuhlbarg. The film is directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.

When I first saw the headline I thought that Brolin' would be good as a young "K."

I love Tommy, but he is gettting to the age where it is less and less beliveable, or even he is capible of doing stunts. I could see K as becoming a new MIB director, with Thorn retireing to travel to other worlds, and Brolin being J's new partner, but the stroy being K and J teaching Brolin the ropes before K takes over the directors job. This could work, and even been realy good.

I liked #1. #2 was watchable and I own the disc. I'll pony up for at least the DVD rental, if nothing else... ;)

hopefully it doesnt get the 3rd movie curse

Josh
I think he is actually convincing as a younger version of Tommy Lee Jones. If it was a prequel way they wouldn't have to pay Will Smith who is one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood today.
But yeah, the second one was a step down. So I'm not sure this is necessary.

i agree with geek. MIB2 was TERRIBLE. Brolin and smith might make a good tandum, but still not sure a 3rd one is necessary.
