Joseph Gordon-Levitt is finalizing a record-breaking deal for his directorial debut Don Jon's Addiction with Relativity Media. The studio will reportedly pay $4 million for the film rights, while committing a massive $25 million for publicity and advertising for a Summer 2013 release on over 2,000 screens.

One question that remains is how much the actor-director may need to cut, in order to secure an R rating. The film, which also stars Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, and Tony Danza, features graphic nudity, sex scenes, and raunchy jokes. The story centers on Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Don Jon, a womanizing porn addict who makes changes in his life in order to find love.

Relativity Media was reportedly uneasy about the racy jokes in the film. 50/50 producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg reportedly laughed throughout an entire cut of the film, which put the studio at ease. Nicolas Chartier's Voltage Productions financed the comedy, which was produced by Ram Bergman (Looper).

Don Jon comes to theaters October 18th, 2013 and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Tony Danza, Rob Brown, Brie Larson. The film is directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
