The Naked Jungle: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alphaville, the Paramount Pictures-based production shingle, has signed Jonathan Hensleigh, who most recently directed and co-wrote The Punisher, to write and direct a remake of the 1950s adventure film The Naked Jungle for Paramount.

The project will be a contemporary version of the 1954 feature, which starred Charlton Heston as Christopher Leiningen, whose chocolate plantation on the Rio River is threatened by a 2-mile-wide, 20-mile-long column of army ants.
