According to Variety Jon Heder will be starring in Buddy Holly Is Alive and Well on Ganymede. The film will be written and directed by Robert Rugan.

The project is based on an adaptation of the Bradley Denton sci-fi novel. The movie will play on Comedy Central.

Heder plays Oliver Vale in the film. Things change in his life when rocker Buddy Holly shows up on every TV channel and states that Vale is the only one who understands why this is happening. Suddenly, Vale's life is turned upside down when he is pursued by a bunch of aliens.
