Meanwhile, Mickey Rourke, who appears as new Iron Man nemesis Whiplash, was back on set last week after a stint with Sly, Li, Lundgren, Statham et al on The Expendables. "I'm having the time of my life!" he enthused about joining the Iron Man franchise. "It's been really brutal, because my Iron Man suit weighs 23lb. It's sort of a half-suit, with half my skin showing, with lots of Russian tattoos, because [Whiplash is just] out of a Russian-zone prison."
Iron Man 2 was released May 7th, 2010 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sam Rockwell, Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Jon Favreau.

I like the way they're doing Whiplash/Crimson Dynamo. Sounds very promising. Can't wait.

Raoul Duke
There is a male Whiplash supposedly, but the original Whiplash was a chick. And she didn't wear and Iron Man suit. This explains what Favreau meant with "hints of the Crimson Dynamo". I don't know why they don't just go with Crimson in the first place. He's a way more badass villain. Oh well, this is still gonna rule.

Whiplash huh? Never heard of him, or any character from the Iron Man universe beyond the first film.
