The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal has joined the growing cast of The Wolf of Wall Street.
Jon Bernthal joins The Wolf of Wall Street
Leonardo DiCaprio stars as Jordan Belfort, a Long Island stock broker who defrauded millions of dollars from investors before he was caught and sentenced to 20 months in prison. The story also chronicles his rocky personal life and substance addictions. Jon Bernthal will play a drug dealer and money launderer in this adaptation of Jordan Belfort's memoir. Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler, Jean Dujardin, and Margot Robbie also star.
Martin Scorsese is directing from an adapted screenplay written by Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter. Production is scheduled to begin this August in New York City.
Jon Bernthal starred as Shane in the first two seasons of The Walking Dead before his memorable exit in Season 2's penultimate episode. He also stars in Ric Roman Waugh's crime drama Snitch, alongside Dwayne Johnson and Susan Sarandon, and Frank Darabont's TNT pilot L.A. Noir.
The Wolf of Wall Street comes to theaters December 25th, 2013 and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Margot Robbie, Jonah Hill, Cristin Milioti, Jon Bernthal, Ethan Suplee, Jon Favreau. The film is directed by Martin Scorsese.
