John Woo interested in directing The Rock in Spy Hunter?

Ronnie Adams tells us that during his visit on the set, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced he had just found out that action director John Woo is the running to direct Universal’s SPY HUNTER. Spy Hunter is an adaptation of the classic 1980s videogame. The Rock will play Alec Sects an ex-fighter pilot who fights spies and assassins with his high-tech G-6155 Interceptor car. Whether or not Woo is the director The Rock wasn’t sure, but he is sure that Woo was definitely in the running, which makes it interesting due to the fact that The Rock was quoted in saying "It's like what Mission: Impossible was for Tom Cruise," and Woo directed MI:2.
