John Stevenson Will Helm The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Gotham Group has tapped John Stevenson (Kung Fu Panda co-director) to helm its adaptation of The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break.

Mike Jones adapted Steven Sherrill's 2000 novel. It follows a mythological creature that is half-man, half-bull. It managed to survive Theseus' attack in the labyrinth and because of that it walks among us today. Now, he's a short-order cook in a Midwestern diner that is close to his trailer-park home. While at work he falls for Kelly, an epileptic waitress.

The film will be a live action, love story that has CGI elements.
