It seems one of Fox's long-gestating project will be gestating even longer. According to Variety, director John Singleton has left the TV remake, The A-Team.

It seems the studio wanted even more time to develop the script, which had already been through numerous re-writes, which caused Singleton to leave. It isn't clear if new writers have been brought on to the project.

Singleton appeared to be the only person attached to the film, aside from writers Michael Brandt and Derek Haas (Wanted), as no casting has been announced, even as the film was set to be released on July 12, 2009. Fox has now set a release date of June 11, 2010 for the film, even though a replacement director hasn't been named.
