John Lennon's Nowhere Boy Finds a Home with the Weinsteins

The Weinstein Company has acquired all U.S., Latin American, and German rights to writer Matt Greenhalgh's Nowhere Man. According to , Sam Taylor-Wood will direct this drama that looks at John Lennon's tumultuous childhood.

The film will revolve around a battle between John Lennon's aunt and mother as they fight for both custody and the affections of the young musician. Aaron Johnson will play the Beatle as a young man, with Kristin Scott Thomas playing his polarizing Aunt Mimi, who begins raising Lennon until his mother re-enters the picture.

The film is currently in production.
