Alliance Films has acquired U.K. and Canadian rights to Anonymous Content's $8 million Brit gangster film 44 Inch Chest, according to Variety.

The script by Sexy Beast writers Louis Mellis and David Scinto follows a man (to be played by Ray Winstone) and his friends who take revenge on his cheating wife by kidnapping her Italian lover. John Hurt, Ian McShane and Tim Roth will also star.

The movie begins shooting in London early next year, marks the feature debut for ad director Malcolm Venville.
