John Goodman, Ed Asner and Jane Alexander join Paul Dano and Zooey Deschanel in the indie romantic comedy Gigantic.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dano plays Brian, a depressed mattress salesman whose quest to adopt a Chinese baby is sidetracked when he falls for Happy (Deschanel). Asner portrays Brian's pot-smoking, gangsta rap-loving father, and Alexander is set as his long-suffering mother. Goodman is cast as Happy's brilliant, domineering dad.

Gigantic begins shooting immediately in New York.

Gigantic was released April 3rd, 2009 and stars Paul Dano, Zooey Deschanel, Edward Asner, Jane Alexander, John Goodman, Sean Dugan, Brian Avers, Louis Ozawa Changchien. The film is directed by Matt Aselton.
