John Cusack is Edgar Allan Poe in The Raven

The thriller is set in the last days of Edgar Allan Poe's life, when he gets wrapped up in a serial killer investigation. The project is an account of the final five 'mysterious' days of Edgar Allan Poe's life. Both Jeremy Renner and Ewan McGregor were previously signed to the project, but it is unclear at this moment if both actors are still with the movie.
The Raven was released April 27th, 2012 and stars John Cusack, Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson, Kevin McNally, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Jimmy Yuill, Sam Hazeldine. The film is directed by James McTeigue.

Poe's one of my favorites. However, this is not as appealing as a movie based around one of his works, such as "Murders in the Rue Morgue." A series of movies with Dupin would be great to see.
