Joel Edgerton Joins Kathryn Bigelow's Osama Bin Laden Movie
The film revolves around the Navy SEAL team that tracked and eventually killed bin Laden.
Many of the roles for the project are still open, including a female reporter embedded with the SEAL 6 team. There is a lot of controversy with the subject matter and how the story came to be. The chairman of Homeland Security announced Thursday that the Dept. of Defense and the CIA were investigating whether classified information about the killing of bin Laden was released to Kathryn Bigelow's team. They did verify that an investigation is taking place.
The project is expected to go into production next month with a Dec. 19 release date.

I have the strangest feeling that because of this film's topic, it'll do great at the Oscars. I predict this as a BEST PICTURE winner. Yep, before the trailer. Before anything.

I'm just fuming MW didn't post a spoiler warning. They've ruined the ending for me.

So wait, this isn't the true story version where Bin Laden died of kidney failure 10 years ago? I guess we can hang with fiction movies loosely based on a death.
