There has been a lot of speculation and rumor as to who would be replacing Mandy Patinkin on the CBS drama Criminal Minds. According to Variety, Joe Mantegna is officially the man who will be filling Patinkin's shoes.

At this time, details about Mantegna's character have not been made public. It is not known when or how he will be introduced on the show.

It was reported earlier this week that Harvey Keitel would be coming onto the show. That rumor failed to come true. Patinkin left the show last month, which threw the producers of the show for a loop.
