Lucas Vidal will compose the score for Jobs
Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote, Neverwas) directs, from an original screenplay by Matt Whiteley. A Five Star Feature Film Production, jOBS is produced by Mark Hulme.
jOBS is the powerful and true story of the visionary who set out to change the world...and did. The film chronicles Steve Jobs' transformation of character from the enthusiasm and self-discovery of his youth, to the personal demons that clouded his vision, and finally to the ultimate triumphs of his later life.
Music was a well-known influence in Jobs' life. The visionary was famous for obsessing over every detail of new products and product introductions, including the selection of music to be used at public announcements and in commercials. Jobs' innovations had a huge impact on the music industry itself, just as he changed the computing, mobile phone, tablet computing, and publishing industries.
At 27 years old, Vidal is already a Hollywood veteran, having recently scored the feature films The Raven with John Cusack and The Cold Light of Day starring Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver. Vidal made history at the Berklee College of Music where he was the youngest student to ever compose and record the score for a feature film with an 80-piece orchestra. He went on to study with Richard Danielpour while attending the Julliard School of Music. Vidal currently splits his time between Madrid and Los Angeles.
jOBS stars Ashton Kutcher in the title role, and co-stars Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, Matthew Modine, Dermot Mulroney, James Woods and Lesley Ann Warren. The production began principal photography on location in Los Angeles and Los Altos in mid-June. A winter 2012 release is planned.
Jobs was released August 16th, 2013 and stars Ashton Kutcher, Dermot Mulroney, Josh Gad, Lukas Haas, Matthew Modine, J.K. Simmons, Lesley Ann Warren, Ron Eldard. The film is directed by Joshua Michael Stern.
