Jim Field Smith has signed on to direct the dramedy Good Luck, Anthony Belcher for U.K.-based indie Ruby Films.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, George Kay's script was announced as leading this year's Brit List, the U.K.'s version of the Black List.

The story centers on a perennially unlucky man whose fortunes abruptly change. James Corden has signed on to star, and Smith and Kay will produce via their Idiotlamp Prods. banner.
